Got questions? We’ve got answers!

Here are some of the questions we get asked the most and their answers.

Troubleshooting

How do I silence an alarm?
How do I stop my keypad from beeping?
What does it mean when my system says communications failure?
How can I change the battery in my wireless device?

1. Call the central station and place your system in Test Mode before servicing any devices.

    2. Disarm the alarm system at the keypad or app.

    3. Remove the sensor cover carefully.

    4. Make sure you have the correct replacement batteries ready. The new batteries should be the same type as the ones that you’re replacing.

    5. Take out the old batteries and dispose of them according to your local regulations.

    6. Wait about 5 minutes before putting in the new batteries. This gives the device a chance to power down and register that it has a new battery.

    7. Reinstall the sensor cover once the batteries are replaced.

Don’t forget to call the central station to let them know you’re changing batteries so that they don’t start calling you and/or dispatching authorities.

Always use the exact battery type specified for the device. We recommend Duracell, Panasonic, or Energizer branded batteries.

My alarm system went off accidentally. I quickly put in the code and shut it off. I waited for a call but never received one. Is something wrong?
How can I test the system myself?

Do I need to notify anyone that I installed an alarm system?
What if I need to know when my system is armed and disarmed?
Why do I need a passcode?
Why should one person be responsible for managing my alarm system?
What if I want to give the Command Center special instructions?
Can you take over an existing security system?
Are there reasons other than theft, liabilities or break-ins/vandalism that a home/business should think about when considering an intrusion or camera system?
