Giving Back, Pitching In, and Celebrating Our Team

We recently completed our annual highway pickup in the Stevens Point area, one of our favorite opportunities to help keep our community clean and beautiful. It’s just one of the ways H&S Protection Systems stays committed to the communities where we live and work.

After the cleanup and some refreshments back at the office, we presented our annual Toni Award to Jonah VanPietersom from our Stevens Point office. Named in loving memory of a former H&S employee, the Toni Award recognizes a team member who exemplifies teamwork, dedication, positivity, and a commitment to the values that define our company culture. Jonah’s willingness to help others, positive attitude, and dedication to our customers and team make him a deserving recipient. Congratulations, Jonah, and thank you for all you do for H&S!

The highway cleanup and Toni Award are but two ways we stay engaged with our communities and support our employees.

Each year, we also match employee contributions to the local United Ways in Portage County and Milwaukee/Waukesha County. This is an opportunity for us to give back to causes that support local communities. The United Way pools its charitable contributions and distributes them to a wide network of local nonprofit organizations while also providing valuable community services.

Another organization we’re proud to support is the Wisconsin Masters Games (WMG). WMG holds annual athletic contests in over 20 sports, encouraging participation, healthy lifestyles and competition for athletes over the age of 40. We believe in supporting opportunities that promote lifelong health and wellness.

We also support local organizations through sponsorships, especially those that our employees are involved with. Just a few of the organizations we’ve sponsored over the years include the Stevens Point Ultimate Frisbee Association, Playhouse Theatre Group, and The Frontline Pro Foundation.

We believe it’s important to do our part by supporting worthwhile causes and recognizing employees who make a positive impact on the communities where we live, work and play. We may not be bringing world peace, but we’re proud to contribute in ways that help make our communities vibrant, welcoming, clean, and healthy.
