Card Access systems (also called Access Control systems) control entry into a building or other protected areas within a building. H&S-designed and installed card access systems currently protect computer rooms, telephone rooms, stock rooms, and general entrances throughout all of Wisconsin.
H&S services the access control needs of banks, schools and other facilities that require the ability to lock down their building(s). We program these types of special requirements into the access control system — tailored to the customer’s specific circumstances.
Usually, authorized personnel are assigned magnetically coded cards or key fobs, which are presented to readers stationed at the point of entry or exit. The system allows entry or exit only if the particular card has been programmed accordingly.

- I.D. Badges
- Video Verification
- Database & Event Reporting
Card Access systems virtually eliminate the need to “re-key” doors. As employees come and go, they can be programmed in and out of the system in seconds. Many of our clients have also been able to improve their bottom line by eliminating the need for security guards at their facilities.

- Database Management
- Floor Plans
- Digital Video & CCTV Integration
A properly designed system will provide more than just a means of locking down doors. It will also control them via specified time-lock periods, grant access to authorized individuals and run reports based on personnel activity to provide records for building evacuation. High security or critical areas may even require hand, finger print, or iris recognition technology.
