OCS, Inc. has been working with H&S for our convenience store location needs since 2013. We have found their monitoring service to be reliable (and user friendly) and have had great success with reducing unpaid drive-offs since they installed their surveillance system. We have been very happy with their willingness to work with us (even if our requests are unusual), and appreciate their great customer service, both from the office staff and their service techs. When we first realized that we were going to have a house full of teenagers we added an H&S Protection security system…we weren’t worried about keeping the bad guys out, in as much as we wanted to keep the good guys good – and tucked safely inside the house at night.
David Horgan suggested that we also add Fire Alert Sensors to the security system. Without his suggestion we most likely would have lost everything today.
Our home security alarms went off sending us a message of a Smoke Alert at 2:14pm with a second Heat Sensors alert for Fire at 2:16pm. The security company called in the alarm and a First Responder arrived faster than either of us could even get home. The Plover Fire Department arrived by 2:23pm. 9 minutes.
We think a knob for the stove burner got bumped on the stove earlier in the morning & slowly ignited a bag left near the stovetop. The fire itself was put out so fast that the fire damage was relatively small & contained to that area of the kitchen. Mostly a lot of smoke (omg so much smoke), lost appliances, some singed cabinets & a countertop that I never much liked anyway.
Nobody was home at the time. More than STUFF we could have lost our Pups today. I can’t even begin to think about how lucky we are that all three dogs were taken out safely and so fast.
Other than a little rattled everyone is totally fine. We do not need anything, but we are looking forward to spending some quality time with Duraclean Specialists
The Plover Fire Department was amazing. I know it was just another day at the office for them and hardly anything out of the ordinary, but we are so grateful for so much kindness.
Seriously though, call H&S Protection Systems. Easily the best decision we have ever made.
